Before she arrives
Everything you need to have done before check in
Four things, none of them complicated, and one of them people forget. There is no paperwork you cannot do in an afternoon.
01
Call and hold the dates
Phone the front desk on the number below and say when you are away and how many cats. Holidays and school breaks go first, so a room in December is not a same week decision. Say then if she is on medication, if she needs a particular litter, or if she is sharing with a sibling, because all three change which room you are given.
02
Get the vaccination records to us
Every cat must be current on rabies and FVRCP, and we need a copy of the records for her file. Your vet can email or print them. If fleas are found on arrival or during the stay, an Advantage application is applied at the owner's expense, which protects every other guest in the building.
03
Pack her food and something from home
Bring her regular food in the original bag or a sealed labeled container. Switching diet during a boarding stay is the most common cause of an upset stomach on day three. Add one thing that already smells of home, a blanket or a bed she sleeps on, because a familiar smell settles a cat faster than anything in the room.
04
Bring her in a carrier
This is the one we ask about most. A parking lot is a bad place to find out that a frightened cat is stronger than you expected, and a loose cat in an unfamiliar part of town is the worst morning anyone here has. In a carrier she is safe from the car door to the suite door.
Drop off and pick up
The desk is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 in the morning until 6:00 in the evening, and Saturday from 9:00 until noon. We are closed on Sunday, so a Sunday return means collecting on Monday morning.
The Saturday window is only three hours and it is the busiest of the week. If you are flying back on a Saturday, tell us at booking so the room is not turned over before you get here.

If something goes wrong
At the first sign of illness we call your emergency contact. From there she is either collected, or taken to your own veterinarian and treated and boarded at the owner's cost. In a genuine emergency every effort is made to reach your vet first, and ours is called only if we cannot. Any charges are added to the boarding fees, so it is worth arranging that with your own vet before you travel.
For the other kind of emergency, the building has an 8 by 10 storm shelter and a full building backup generator, plus 24/7 electronic security. In central Oklahoma those are not decorative. A power cut in July is a real risk to a room full of boarded animals, and it is the reason both were put in.
