The days this is actually for
Day care is not a social club. Cats are not dogs and do not need an afternoon of group play, so nobody here is going to sell you one. What day care solves is a specific and very ordinary problem: a day when your own house is the dangerous place.
Contractors with the front door propped open. A house move, where the worst outcome is a frightened cat going out through a gap and not coming back. Carpet fitting, pest treatment, a floor being sanded, or a family event with a full house and children who do not know the rules. In every one of those cases the cat is not the problem, the open doors and the strangers are.
It also works as a rehearsal. If a long boarding stay is coming later in the year and you have never left her anywhere, a single day here first tells you how she handles it while the stakes are still low.

What the day looks like
She gets a private suite, the same rooms used for overnight guests, with her own litter box, bowls and scoop that are disinfected between every guest. Only cats from the same family share a room, so a day guest is never put in with a stranger.
Day care is $18 a day, and $6 a day for a second cat from the same household. If you want the window, ask for a Garden Room when you book. Drop off from 7:30 in the morning and collect by 6:00 in the evening, Monday to Friday. We are open Saturday from nine until noon, which is a short window, so Saturday day care needs arranging in advance rather than on the day.
Bring her own food in the original bag or a sealed labeled container if she is fussy, and something that smells of home. A familiar blanket does more for a nervous cat in one day than anything we can provide.
Chapter 03
The same rules as an overnight stay
Vaccination requirements do not relax for a single day. Rabies and FVRCP must be current and we need a copy of the records for the file, the same as any boarding guest. If fleas are found, an Advantage treatment is applied at the owner's expense, because one untreated day guest is how an infestation reaches every soft surface in the building.
Medication can be given during the day at the usual rates, and it is worth mentioning at booking rather than at the door. Bring her in a carrier. A parking lot is a bad place to discover that a stressed cat is stronger than expected, and it is the single thing we ask most often.
